In gamespace, everybody wants to save the world. But back here on planet Earth, your favorite games console contains deadly agents of real destruction: toxic chemicals that shouldn't be there and may be contributing to mountains of e-waste when thrown away.

You can help battle the boss monsters to green their game. Take Action >> Tell Microsoft it�s time to jump in and make the Xbox greener with less toxic chemicals, lower energy use and better recycling. Surely Master Chief can�t continue to be humbled by Mario�s energy savvy or the recycling armies of Kratos?

I am a big fan of the Xbox. But I want my next Xbox to be a much greener product. It is great to see some steps taken by Microsoft to commit to eliminate the use of hazardous chemicals like brominated flame retardants (BFRs) and Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC). However for a company that sets itself to be a leader, I would want to see Microsoft leading on the environmental path. I want to know that my next Xbox will not only be the coolest game console ever but energy efficient and free of hazardous chemicals. To prevent obsolete consoles causing pollution when disposed of, Microsoft should have a recycling scheme that's even better than Sony's.
