Sadly, the Superior Court of Justice in Brazil denied our request to take Sister Dorothy's case to the federal level. For Greenpeace, and for Sister Dorothy and the hundreds of other slain activists in the Amazon, this is a human rights defeat. Thank you for your efforts to help elevate Sister Dorothy's case. Despite this setback, your voice was a critical signal to the government of Brazil that the United States is watching, and we will continue to act against human rights violations and deforestation in the Amazon.
