I am a 20 year old resident of Oakland, California and a strong
advocate of an environmentally conscience America. I grew up in
Chicago, IL. My parents did not raise me with an awareness of
environment issues. When I went to high school I heard of the
environmental club, and though my intrigue drew me to a subject
matter I knew so little about, I learned that the club was nearly
dead (in a school of 4,000+ students). I quickly sought to revive
it. Over the next couple years my perspective, along with that of
America's, has transformed around the way we see our place on earth.

In the reality that is global warming we have woken up to the
horrors we have, and are, dumping upon the home of future
generations. It is through education to ALL - of every class and
race, and implementation of new policies that we can be rescued.

The environmental club at my old high school has since been gaining support with each passing year, and I know that this is a reflection of America's future. I ask that you too do all that is in your power to end global warming.
